Sitting in a regular, straight back chair, all your weight is concentrated on your buttocks. Your back either conforms to the chair or bends forward, neither of which is the natural position of the spine.
The kneeling chair causes you to have an upright posture which allows the spine to keep its own normal alignment. Your weight is distributed to the different parts of the body in contact with the chair; the buttocks as well as the knees and feet. This can improve blood circulation as well as alleviating traditional stress points from ordinary chairs.
The kneeling chair also decreases stress to the discs of the back, by permitting the spine to remain in its normal “s” curve. When you consider how many hours of our lives are spent sitting in the conventional position; driving a car, sitting at a restaurant or the movies, you can understand why it is important to find a position which allows the back, legs and buttocks to adjust themselves to a position where the body’s natural harmony is restored.
The more open body angle created by the kneeling chair also allows for better breathing, which along with better blood circulation has been shown to improve energy levels and mental concentration. So many of today’s major health problems are directly linked to stress and fatigue; it makes sense to use a chair which helps to reduce these negative health factors.

Geez, I wish I had her long blonde hair!! Chair looks comfortable, do the feet get tired dropping back like that?

I have a kneeling chair similar to the one in the picture. It is very good and the whole family fights over it at times! Do recommend the posture chairs for anyone with a week back.

Hi all interested kneeling chair purchasers
I am not the sort of person who usually bothers commenting on purchases I have made but I just can’t believe what a difference the chair has made to me. My back always used to get so tired ( I have a curvature in my spine) and taking the pressure off my tail bone is wonderful. I have so much more energy at the end of the day.
